The demand for remote monitoring solutions has been sharply rising, whether it be for long-term monitoring of a chronic condition, rehabilitation monitoring or for regular periodic use in sports or industrial work. KYMIRA’s Biomedical Monitoring garments enable remote and continuous monitoring from basic heart rate, through to full medical vital sign monitoring. Full vital sign monitoring includes 1-12 lead ECG, blood pressure, respiration rate, oxygen saturation and basic movement data. By combining these data sets, we are able to contextualise the data and draw more insight.
Technology Mission
Our ultimate goal is to develop a predictive diagnostic device that will be able to diagnose an acute cardiac event (such as a heart attack) 48 hours before it occurs. Allowing the wearer to seek medical help to prevent or manage the condition and offering them a much greater chance of survival or a reduction in severity of the episode. Iterative releases will also be made available for non-regulated markets; such as sports, and real-time monitoring and diagnostics in regulated markets such as medical applications.

Features and Benefits
In many instances, non-invasive, continuous monitoring is required to capture potentially life threatening conditions before they cause serious harm. Below, you will find KYMIRA’s current biomedical sensor suite, which we use to collect and contextualise the wearer’s data.

1 – 12 lead ECG
1 – 12 lead ECG built onto our smart garments and using KYMIRA’s proprietary noise resistant electrode technology. No gels or shaving required!
Blood Pressure
Using simultaneous sampling through KYMIRA’s proprietary electrodes, we can also collect data on blood pressure.
Respiration Rate
Using simultaneous sampling through KYMIRA’s proprietary electrodes, we can also collect data on respiration rate.
Oxygen Saturation
Built into the base of our garment’s detachable brain is a PPG sensor that collects oxygen saturation readings.
Movement
Built into the base of our garment’s detachable brain is an IMU sensor which allows us to collect valuable insights on movement to further contextualise our data sets with wearer activity.
Software Layer
Finally, but equally importantly all of the data is processed in the cloud with by our software layer to clean noise, remove movement artefacts and label the data.

Research Partner
KYMIRA works with research partners to innovate, refine, test and clinical certify our technologies and the many benefits it can provide. We welcome discussions on research partnerships and for clinical uses of our e-garment technology.
Clinical Partner
We work with clinical partners who are utilising our e-textile garments to complement their existing recovery and rehabilitation programmes. From understanding the wearers body and joint movement potential and development with high accuracy, to monitoring their biomedical state, with levels of exertion or fatigue. Please get in touch to discuss potential use cases and partnerships.
Licensing
Our patented e-textiles and their components can be licensed by companies for use within their research or product ranges. Please get in touch to discuss this opportunity.
